This is a list of topical treatments that can be used for acne

Benzoyl Peroxide

Antibacterial effects are greater than the keratinolyic effects, no antibiotic resistance

Clindamycin

Good gram positive and anaerobic bacterial coverage, antibiotic associated colitis very unlikely with topical use of clindamycin phosphate

Erythromycin

Resistance of some P. acnes strains, Significant component of long term acne benefit through erythomycin anti-inflammatory effects

Metronidazole

Has coverage for both anaerobic and aerobic bacteria, also has some parasite coverage. 

Azelaic acid

Broad antimicrobial coverage including P. acnes. Also useful for some disorders of pigmentation

Sodium Sulfacetamide

Available in several rosacea products in combination with precipitated sulfur
