Dr. Kayla Penny

Dr. Kayla Penny is a board-certified dermatologist who practices general medical dermatology at our Katy location and cares for patients of all ages. She was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, and completed her undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She then earned her medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and graduated first in her class.

After medical school, Dr. Penny completed her internship at LSU Health Sciences Center in Baton Rouge. She returned to New Orleans to complete her dermatology residency at LSU Health Sciences Center, where she received comprehensive training in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of dermatologic conditions.

Dr. Penny is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each patient. She has particular interests in hidradenitis suppurativa, acne, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and autoimmune skin diseases.

Outside of work, Dr. Penny enjoys spending time with her large New Orleans family, trying new restaurants, listening to live music, and traveling.
