Dr. Mildred Lopez-Pineiro

Dr. Mildred Lopez Pineiro, a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, earned her medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Duke University and then graduated from Dermatology residency at UT Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center. Following residency, she went on to complete an ASDS Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship at Skin Associates of South Florida, previous practice of world-renowned cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Fredric Brandt.

Dr. Lopez is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is the author of numerous articles published in national and international journals and is previous author of a Dermatology Times column on lasers. Dr. Lopez has been featured in Univision for her expertise and continues to lecture around the country. Dr. Lopez’s areas of expertise include laser medicine, cosmetic dermatology, complex medical dermatology, and clinical research.  

When not working, Dr. Lopez enjoys spending time with her husband, urologist Dr. Jonathan Clavell, and her two daughters. She also enjoys running half marathons, traveling and good food.
